Dear Friends,
The Downtown Association of Ypsilanti (DAY) is seeking donations and sponsorships to support our yearly activities. The mission of “DAY” is to promote the common economic interest of downtown Ypsilanti businesses which contribute to the public safety, marketing, growth, culture, entertainment and overall vitality of the community. Quality events bring people downtown. In addition to Halloween and Christmas activities, our signature event is the Crossroads Summer Festival. The Festival, which started in 2006, is committed to celebrating the collective talent of local musicians and performing artists in a family friendly environment which promotes local commerce and art. Entering its fifth season, the 2010 Crossroads begins its twelve week schedule on Friday, June 4th and culminates in a two-night summer finale during the Heritage Festival weekend of August 20th and 21st.
The Festival is held on Friday nights from 7:00pm to 10:00pm on North Washington Street in the heart of downtown Ypsilanti’s Historic District. Attendance last year ranged from 350 to over 1,000 people each night. The Festival has been instrumental in contributing to the revitalization of Ypsilanti. It brings artists, businesses and residents together and has helped to create and foster a positive image of Downtown. With the wonderful music, easy access to various restaurants and bars, and unique retail locations, a night at Crossroads is truly a great value!
To continue to support and grow Crossroads, the Downtown Association of Ypsilanti is seeking donations and sponsorships which will help to sustain our Festival and other events. Your contribution directly benefits the continuing evolution of a vibrant and energized Downtown Ypsilanti.
